🌲 Project Complete: Forest Thinning for Bracknell Forest Council 🌲 Dryad Tree Specialists are pleased to have successfully completed a 20% forest thinning operation on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council. This carefully planned thinning improves woodland health by reducing competition for light, water, and nutrients, allowing remaining trees to develop stronger canopies and root systems. The work also enhances biodiversity, improves long-term resilience, and supports sustainable woodland management. All operations were carried out by our experienced team, following best arboricultural and environmental practices, with a strong focus on safety and minimal disruption to the surrounding habitat. Turning Tree Work Into small treasures Giving back is something we care deeply about, and we’re always looking for meaningful ways to share our resources with the people around us. One of our favourite ways to do this is by donating the leftovers from our tree surgery jobs – think wood chips and chunky bits of timber – to local schools, community groups, Brownie packs, and allotment projects. Instead of going to waste, these natural by-products get a whole new lease of life in places where they can spark creativity, learning, and connection. A brilliant example happened at an estate in West Horsley. After our team wrapped up a job there, we had a generous pile of timber to hand over. The estate’s grounds team got creative and transformed it into a gorgeous garden seating area – a calm, nature-inspired corner where people can pause, reflect, and recharge. #reflection #dryadtreespecialists #creatingsomethingnew

From our surveys we will be categorising different risk factors, which Herefordshire Council can then produce a management plan to manage these risk factors. Currently we have 3 surveyors completing a huge project for Wokingham Borough Council surveying 10,000 trees across the council. These trees have been pre-populated on a data base which we are resurveying to highlight any potential defects. From this the council can actively manage the risks going forward. The council have been a pleasure to work with, and we have loved assisting them with their tree stock!!
